I Dream of 1950’s Glam

Imitation-of-Life

Ever since I was a little girl I have adored fashion from the 1950’s. Full skirts, pointed pumps, and simple jewelry was all a girl needed to get a guy’s attention. My favorite movie is Imitation of Life starring Lana Turner. What I love more than the heartbreaking story and complex characters is the fabulous fashion. Scene after scene Lana Turner stole the show in her timeless pieces. She was so glamorous and effortless.

This spring, expect to see a ton of 1950’s inspired pieces while shopping. The best way to wear clothing inspired from another era is to find a way to update it. You will still have the 1950’s look with 2013 style. I have put together a couple looks for you.
