There was a point in my life when I hated repeating an article of clothing. I would give myself permission to wear something memorable 1-2 times per season. This was of course before I was a broke fashionista. As my expenses have increased, I have had to make some adjustments on my outlook.
What I have come to realize is that recycling outfits is completely okay if you are doing it the right way. The first and most important factor being every time you repeat you are wearing it very differently. The second factor is timing. Be sure to space out your repeats.
I have a tiger sweater (pictured above) that I have probably worn way more times than one should ever wear a tiger sweater. I feel confident in my choice to be a repeat offender though. My confidence comes from knowing that each time I wear this sweater I am putting a different spin on it. Can I wear the tiger sweater once a week? That is probably not advisable, but I still have one or two more acceptable wears left this season. It is all about how you remix it and make it original.
