Monday Muse: Diana Ross

As the queen of Motown with a career that spans decades, Diana Ross is a one of a kind icon. Diana was born to humble beginnings in Detroit, Michigan and rose to fame with the mega group The Supremes. With 12 number one singles, they are America’s most successful vocal group and one of the world’s best-selling girl groups of all time.

After, reaching major success with The Supremes, Diana ventured out on a solo career that was just as fruitful. She also dabbled in acting, garnering a Golden Globe and Academy Award nomination for her work in Lady Sings the Blues (1972). In addition to her iconic career as a performer, Diana Ross is a trend setter to be reckoned with. Totally worthy of being this week’s Monday Muse!

“Instead of looking at the past, I put myself ahead twenty years and try to look at what I need to do now in order to get there then.”
