Labor Day weekend is so bittersweet, isn’t it? Part of you is like, “Yay! Long weekend!” and the other part of you is like, “Ugh, the summer is over”. The fashion world is torn on whether or not white is appropriate after Labor Day, but to be on the safe side the color is best left in the summer season. I make exceptions for winter white, but even then I like to keep it to a minimum.
The best way to say goodbye to white is by getting it out of your system. Wear it to the beach/pool, wear it to the barbecue, wear it to the bar/club…just wear it to death. It will be at least six months before you can fully embrace the color again.
