How to Stay Chic at Office

Office Style

The office can be a dreary place. You are sitting in a cubicle for upwards of eight hours a day. You have a short lunch break which four out of five days you may not even use. Even if you love the people you work with and what you do it can get daunting. One of the major struggles women face is remaining stylish while they are at the office.

For some it is finding outfits that are office appropriate (this is especially true for girls who are fresh out of college). For others it is getting out of that boring office style slump. When you think of office style sometimes slacks and a sweater set is all that comes to mind. News flash fashionistas, it does not need to be that way! You can look both office appropriate and stylish at the same time.

How to Do It:

  • Work current trends into office looks: There are some trends that may be a bit too wild for certain more corporate offices (i.e.: fringe), but there are many that can be worked in subtle ways that will garner compliments (i.e. chambray, leather, bold prints). The reality is even the most corporate of offices have loosened up a bit. There is no reason you cannot be a little trendy!
  • Wear something different everyday: Keep your office looks versatile. For example, skirt Monday, dress on a Tuesday, pants on Wednesday, etc. If you do this you will never hit a slump.
  • Buy exciting work wear pieces: You should have basic staples to start, but your fill in items should have a punch. For example print blazer, a leather skirt, or unique dresses.

You have the tips, now here’s a week of office looks!
