5 Pairs of Shoes You Need for Fall

And just like that, summer has come and gone! While I am sad to see it end, I am so excited for fall and all of the exciting trends. We’re in a brief window where it is tricky to jump into fall style. It’s not quite cool enough to break out sweaters and certain fall fabrics. So, how do we start transitioning into the new season? Shoes! Here are a few pairs that will be perfect for kick-starting fall.

Loafers

Loafers are not only a huge trend for this fall, but they are also a staple for your wardrobe. Every fashionista needs at least one pair. Throw them on with your favorite jeans and a cute blazer and you’ll have a chic polished look.

Cowboy Boots

Cowboy boots have been valid for some time now, but this fall they are a must-have. This early in the season, these boots pair well with those summer dresses that are not quite ready to be packed away and denim shorts. Later in the season, they’ll be super cute with jeans, sweater dresses, and leather shorts/skirts.

Bold Colors

One of the saddest things about fall is that people automatically shift to neutrals. While neutrals are a fall essential that does not mean that our wardrobes should be completely devoid of color. This applies just as much to shoes as it does to clothes. There’s a good chance you’re covered on the neutral shoe front, so add a spark to your wardrobe with a fun color. Think pink, green, or blue.

Platforms

Platforms are having a revival in a major way. Pumps, boots, and even loafers have sky-high options. They are perfect for girls’ night out or special occasions. Depending on your lifestyle, there’s a chance these are not shoes that will get a lot of use. For that reason, lean into affordable options.

Cream (or White) Boots

Starting with a staple and ending with one! Cream (or white) boots have been around for many seasons, but if you do not have a pair you need one. While you can get both, you really only need one or the other as they serve the same purpose. I personally love to pair cream/white boots with both neutral looks and bold colors. They pair well with both.
