What to Wear to a Party Brunch

There are levels to brunch in New York City. First, there is the standard this place is around the corner and makes awesome mimosas for a good price brunch. Then, there is the bottomless brunch that includes an entree and an absorbent amount of mimosas, bellinis, and/or blood Mary’s. Lastly, there is the party brunch. An animal all its own.

It starts out the same as any other brunch, but then all of sudden *bam* there’s club lighting, bottle girls, champagne flowing, and amazing beats pumping. While wearing an oversized sweater, over the knee boots, and your favorite jeans is totally okay for a regular brunch, the same rules do not apply to a party brunch. Dressing to impress is essential and in most venues required.

So, what in the world do you a wear to a party brunch?  Think of it as the toned down version of what you might wear out on a Saturday night. Here are a few looks that are both party brunch appropriate and head turners.

Party Brunch Look #1
You can never go wrong with a little black dress! Pair it with a red cross body bag for a pop of color and statement earrings for drama. The pointed black pumps will go amazingly with the form fitting lace dress in this look.

Party Brunch Look #2

The olive colored pencil skirt and booties makes this look more day time appropriate. Accessorize with a chunky statement necklace and a leopard clutch for extra glam. A neutral brown lip goes perfectly with this look.

Party Brunch Look #3
If you are not in the mood to wear a skirt or a dress try this leather look. Pair leather pants with a bralette top and white pumps for a monochrome look. The arm cuff and drop back earring will add a little edge. Throw on some red lipstick because you can never go wrong with a red lip.

If you are heading to a party brunch this weekend, hopefully this gave you some inspiration. Have fun and be safe fashionistas!
